Spiritleaders offers the most advanced, intricate, and innovative
cheers, dances, and stunts in the summer camp industry. We are
looking for talented cheerleaders and dancers that possess the
ability and desire to train and teach teams that compete on a
national level.
We feel it takes special individuals to teach the highest level of material,
challenge advanced squads, and improve students technical skills.
To maintain this high level of training, U.S. Spiritleaders has remained
the only “invite only” camp organization. We are also proud
to offer the best staff to student ratio which gives students the “one
on one” attention they need.
What
you need to apply:
Application
: Fill Out The U.S. Spiritleaders Application With Two Photos. Bring it to the audition or include it with your video tape.
Medical Release: Must be filled out completely and signed by parents or guardians prior to audition.
What To Wear: Female applicants
should wear lycra half tops with shorts or dance pants.
Male applicants should wear T-shirts and shorts.
Skills You Need To Demonstrate: Cheerleading
Instructional Staff: Cheer Motions, Hip/Hop Dance Skills,
Jumps, Tumbling, and Partner Stunts. You will also be asked
to learn, teach, and demonstrate one sideline cheer/dance.
Dance Instructional Staff: Leaps,
Kicks, Turns, Pom and Jazz/Hip Hop Dance skills. You will
also be asked to learn, teach, and demonstrate one sideline
dance.
Video Auditions: Think
of your video as a job interview. Make sure it contains
a close-up introduction of yourself. The same skills that
are required at the the live audition should also be demonstrated
in your video. Be sure to include a segment of your teaching
skills. Video tapes will not be returned and should be
clearly labeled with your first and last name, city, and
state.
What Are We Looking For: Sell
Yourself! We are looking for “High Energy Staffers” with
great personalities, smiles, and excellent group skills.
If you are easily frustrated, shy, and not people oriented....This
is not the job for you! The US Spiritleaders staff becomes
a family and works as a close team.
Letter Of Recommendation: Ask
your coach/advisor or dance teacher to write a short letter
of recommendation on your behalf. Please let them know
your are applying for a teaching position that requires
leadership skills as well as the ability to demonstrate
good cheer and dance training. The letter needs to be sealed
and can be sent in separately of the audition.
